🍎 An Important Update from Hinegardner’s Orchard🍎

For the first time since 1965, Hinegardner’s Orchard will look a little different this fall.

There will NOT be an apple pick or Cider Day at the orchard this year. ❤️🍎

A late freeze this spring significantly affected our apple crop, and unfortunately, we simply don’t have enough apples to open the orchard for public picking or hold our traditional Cider Day.

BUT—we still have fresh Hinegardner’s apples and LOTS of delicious apple cider available! 🍎🥤❤️

🍎 Apples & Cider Available

We have a limited supply of pre-picked apples:

🍏 Jonathan
🍎 Jonagold
🍏 Golden Delicious

Please note: We are out of Honeycrisp this year.

**Pre-Picked Apples:**
• Full bushel (about 40 lbs): $45
• ½ bushel: $23
• Smaller quantities: $1.25/lb

And we have lots of fresh apple cider available for just $5 per gallon and $3 for 1/2 gallon! 🥤🍎

Whether you like your cider cold and refreshing or warmed up with a little fall spice, it’s the perfect taste of autumn! Remember, this stuff freezes really well and is great for the holidays!🍂❤️

Pickup is available on weekends, afternoons, and evenings by appointment.

We’ll also be bringing our apples and cider to the Marshalltown Wednesday Night Farmers’ Market, the Thursday afternoon Grinnell Farmers’ Market, and Saturday at the Marshalltown Market.

We know many of you will be disappointed that you can’t come pick your own apples or join us for Cider Day this year. We are too. This was an incredibly difficult decision, especially knowing how much these fall traditions mean to the families who have visited us over the years.

But Hinegardner’s isn’t going away! ❤️🍎

We are incredibly grateful for all of the families who have supported our orchard throughout the years. From **1965 to today, you have been part of our family’s story, and we truly appreciate every visit, every apple picked, every gallon of cider, and every fall tradition you’ve shared with us.

This year will certainly look different, but we hope you’ll still stop by for some fresh Hinegardner’s apples and cider and help us keep this family tradition going.

We may not have an apple pick or Cider Day this year, but we still have a little taste of Hinegardner’s fall waiting for you! 🍎🥤🍂

🍎 An Important Update from Hinegardner’s Orchard 🍎

For the first time since 1965, we have some disappointing news to share with our customers and friends: there will NOT be an apple pick or Cider Day at Hinegardner’s Orchard this year.

A late freeze this spring significantly affected our apple crop, and unfortunately, we simply don’t have enough apples to open the orchard for public picking or hold our traditional Cider Day. This was an incredibly difficult decision, especially knowing how much these fall traditions mean to so many of the families who have visited us over the years. ❤️

But we’re not going away! We will still have some of your favorite Hinegardner’s apples available as pre-picked apples, beginning around mid-September, including:

🍏 Jonathan
🍎 Jonagold
🍏 Golden Delicious
🍎 And, of course… Honeycrisp!

🍎 Pre-Picked Apples

Hinegardner Orchard will be open this weekend, September 21st and 22nd for pick your own apples. We will also have cider, pre picked apples, squash,pumpkins,apple pies, honey, and caramel apples. We will be open September 28th and 29th, and October 5th and 6th. Cider Days will be Sunday Oct. 6th from 1pm til 5pm.

We sell them green and so you take them home, put on counter for a few days and they will turn yellow and are so sweet and juicy. if you would like some give me a call. 641-485-9582. Join us tomorrow, October 8th, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm for Cider Day. 🍎 But don't forget, today is your last chance for regular apple pick until 5:00 pm!

Cider Day Rules:
• Only put apples in the basket that you would eat. (no cuts, blemishes, large bruises)
• 1 bushel = 1 ticket = 1 gallon
• Cider jugs cost $1 each
• The basket supply is limited. Please no hoarding baskets. Share baskets between 2 or 3 people.
• No limit & free popcorn while supplies last.
