Suddenly it is mid-October, 'past peak' as the foliage prognosticators say, many leaves have fallen.

But, it is not quite stick season yet! There's still some pops of color in the woods, and there is a crispness in the air. It's still a wonderful time of year to visit!

2026 is one of the better years for leaf peeping! It really is quite spectacular in Vermont, and this week is peak in our part of the state.

You never know who you will run into at Morse Farm -- this morning not one, but two classic Vermont storytellers/raconteurs/musicians (and more!) were in the store -- Burr Morse & Rusty DeWees. . . you wouldn't want to be in a storytelling contest with these two gentlemen. . . many, many tales to tell.

No matter what the weather, late September and early October are spectacular times of year to visit Morse Farm. Last week the days were bright and cloudless, today is misty and gray, but Mother Nature still puts on a show.

It looks like fall, it feels like fall, it smells like fall (damp leaves in the woods), and now it TASTES LIKE FALL. . . Pumpkin spice is in the house!

Pumpkin spice creemmees will be available through October and when they are gone.... we will serve only maple creemees til next spring, so this is an early harbinger of the approach of the Vermont winter.

We are open daily 10 am - 5 pm. If you attend this year's Art at the Kent exhibit (highly recommended), which is just up the road from us, we are a perfect apres-art creemee stop.

Another sign of Fall! -- the new Morse Farm catalog is out, and is available in our store, or as a digital copy on our website. If you are on our mailing list, we will be sending these out in late October. We'd like to acknowledge the fine (and very timely) work of on the cover image.

We've got mums, there are touches of color in the surrounding woods, and the cornucopia has been deployed, and a cornstalk cutting expedition is scheduled for the weekend. Come enjoy the season at Morse Farm, it is the time of year where it is not too hot, not too cold (yet), it's 'just right'.

Morse Farm Fall | Winter | Spring hours (aka why is the Vermont summer so short?)

Morse Farm, we are now open daily 10 am - 5 pm.

We serve creemees year round, and have creemee punch cards, and can also stamp Vermont Creemee Passports.

We have plenty of local corn for sale as well!

Late August - early September have some of the most pleasant weather of the entire year at Morse Farm, so it is perfect time to visit before the leaves change and (gasp) the snow starts to fall. . .
