Inspired by the Toronto cocktail, we gave it a little Green Mountain flare to celebrate our homeplace. The “Vermonter” is rich, dry, lightly bitter and full of vibrant rye spice notes.

Of course, to make it a true Vermonter – only Vermont whiskey and maple will do.

Grab a bottle of Phyllis Rye Whiskey (now available throughout the Northeast) and try mixing one up this weekend!

Vermonter
2oz Phyllis Rye Whiskey25oz Fernet25oz VT Maple Syrup
2 dashes Aromatic Bitters

Stir with ice. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with an expressed orange twist.
