📣📣**New Arrival Announcement** 📣📣

The past two weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind for us on the farm! Here’s a recap:
🐂We picked up and brought home Rio from NC
🐖We picked up and brought home the piggies from Blacksburg
💐We had a great day hosting a flower arranging workshop with Foliage LLC
🍼We separated the Fall 2025 calves to start weaning
🐐And last but not least we added one more new species to our farm…goats! We brought home 4 adorable goats who are all 10 weeks old. They are staying in one of the stalls for a bit while they get used to us, and we can’t wait to watch them grow!

Maybe that’s enough excitement for a bit! 😆🤣

Weaning time is always so sad 😢 Babies and mamas are yelling back and forth at each other, sometimes until they lose their voices.

We don’t do it to be mean, we do it because it’s what’s best for mama and baby. Feeding baby takes a lot out of the cow, and they don’t always wean the calves on their own, so we step in to help once the calves are at least 6 months old.

This stage only lasts for a few days, but it hurts my heart to hear everyone crying. 💔
