This is great info! We love our donkeys, but none of them have the temperament for being livestock guardians. They are suspicious of any creature that is smaller than they are, but they love getting attention from people! 🫏

I love seeing the herd members caring for each other! Delilah was the youngest calf up until Sunday, so she was excited to get a younger sibling!!

🌾I am all checked in and ready for a fun couple of days! This is my second time attending this conference, and it is an amazing opportunity to learn about Virginia’s agriculture, meet wonderful folks, and get new ideas for the farm! Thank you to Kyle for keeping the farm running while I attend!

Carolina and Knox really know how to make some pretty babies! And we’re happy to say that this little one is a girl! 🎀

Carolina decided that this weekend needed just a little bit more excitement, so she brought this little cutie into the world this afternoon! 💜💜💜

🤯All I can say is…WOW!! We were blown away with the turnout for the Hanover Fields & Farms Tour yesterday. We had almost 450 visitors to our little farm, and our hearts are so full. Thank you so much to everyone!!💜

It was a joy getting to meet so many of you, and the animals loved the extra attention (and treats). I think they are just as tired as we are today! 😆

We spent the entire day yesterday talking to our wonderful guests, and we realized this morning that we forgot to take photos during the event!

📸Please share your farm photos from yesterday, and tell us about your favorite things from your visit!

🗓️ If you couldn’t come yesterday, or want to visit again, our farm is open regularly for private Herd Hangout Sessions, so check our online calendar for availability! It can be found on our website, www.thistledewfold.com.

💐 And don’t forget, next Saturday October 17th we are having our Moos & Mums Flower Arranging Workshop, and we still have tickets available.

💜Thank you to everyone involved yesterday! We had a blast!!

"Hanover isn’t just the land of tomatoes.

It’s also home to alpacas, berries, heirloom grains, meadows and flowers, and on Oct. 10, folks are encouraged to explore the county’s agricultural past and present at the inaugural Hanover Fields & Farms Tour.

'This isn’t just a farm tour — it’s a choose-your-own adventure through Hanover County’s fields, fences, greenhouses and gathering places,' says Ann Glave, existing business and project manager for Hanover County Economic Development."
