Ladybird updates: We quietly celebrated birthdays; Ladybird turned 2, and Buns, the sheepdog, turned 1. After a decade of the greatest ride ever, I closed Pinecone Catering to be able to give a little more to my other projects. We are about to go into another Farmer’s Market season starting May 2nd, and are putting together the framework for a small Ag- Forward pop up market at the Ladybird campus on the first Tuesday each month during summer from 3-7pm. A kids story time this summer is high on my todo list, as well as a little free library- pink of course. WE WILL BE TAKING A 2 WEEK MUD SEASON BREAK FROM APR. 21st- MAY 3rd. • Bread not Bombs • Times not Things • Be Nice or Leave ✌️💗🥖

When you transfer the power to your heart, and really let it be the driver, that’s when the magic happens. This is hard to do-it’s a total gamble, and it comes with uncertainly, but it is the route. March 21st will be Pine Cone Catering’s last event. This was a difficult decision to get to, but when I finally surrendered to my heart, knowing that I couldn’t pursue more of what I love, personally and professionally, the decision became easy.
What a refreshing feeling! I will forever be grateful to Janice Wheeler and Sue Hansen for making this chapter happen for me, as well as ALL the folks I have worked with over the last decade, on the many giant events we pulled off. So many have turned from “person of contact” to “friend”- how lucky am I?! I know this decision leaves a number of companies and non profits without a caterer for their annual events, but perhaps the gift I know I am giving myself, is also a gift to some of the other restaurants and caterers in town as well; not just a gift of revenue, but a vote of confidence, and gently nudge to go the extra mile for these companies that do SO much for our community!! I love you all, and hope that you too will let your heart take the reins!! See you at Ladybird!

My fondest Bob Weir memory was when he brought out his young daughter, dressed as a fairy princess, for Attics of my Life during the encore at the 2024 Bonnaroo.
