🍯 We’re Back This Saturday! 🍞

Just a friendly reminder that our store will be reopening this Saturday, June 20th, for honey and bread sales! We’ll be open during our normal Saturday hours from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM.

Good news for our bread lovers. Online bread ordering is now back open and ready for your orders!

We do have one important update regarding our honey offerings. Due to the continued growth and development throughout Central Florida, it has become increasingly difficult to find local areas with sufficient nectar sources for our bees. As a result, our bees are producing less honey than they have in past years.

Because of this, we will no longer be offering honey in our 6 lb and 12 lb sizes for general sale. We know many of our customers have enjoyed these larger sizes and this decision was not made lightly.

For customers who utilize our refill program, we will continue to refill existing 6 lb and 12 lb containers. If you’re bringing containers in for a refill, please make sure they are clean and completely dry before bringing them to the store.

Thank you for your continued support of our family farm, our bees, and our small business. We look forward to seeing everyone again this Saturday!

As the 2026 peach season comes to a close, we want to take a moment to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts to the amazing community that supports our small farm and business each year.

It has truly been a joy seeing so many familiar faces return again this season, and we loved meeting so many new customers and families as well. Your support, kind words, and visits mean more to us than you know.

While peach season may be ending, our work on the farm is far from over. The Honey Store will be closed until Saturday, June 20th while we begin preparing for next year’s crop. Over the next few weeks we’ll be busy pruning peach trees, removing some older trees, and planting replacements as we continue working to keep the farm healthy and productive for years to come.

We look forward to reopening for honey sales on June 20th, and we have some exciting things coming soon! Be watching for announcements about a brand new infused honey flavor along with a few other additions around the farm that we can’t wait to share with you.

Thank you again for supporting local agriculture and our family farm. We are incredibly grateful for each and every one of you. 💖

🍑 PEACH PICKING TODAY 🍑

Every year as we approach the end of peach season, we get asked, “Why do you close down after peaches are finished?”

Believe it or not, what we do in the month after peach season is one of the most important parts of producing next year’s crop.

Our biggest job is pruning the trees back. We do have equipment that can top and side-hedge the rows of our mature trees, but it has limitations. We still have to hand prune between trees where branches have grown together, remove dead wood, and cut out center water sprouts that grow straight up through the tree.

This equipment also isn’t suitable for our younger trees, so those must be pruned completely by hand. I spent yesterday morning working in our top section on trees that are less than two years old. We don’t prune much during the first year while the tree is getting established, but by the second year they’re ready for shaping.

Young peach trees naturally put out long, thin branches and spread very wide. Our goal is to establish strong lateral branches that will be able to support a healthy peach crop next year. By cutting those long branches back now, the tree will put energy into growing stronger limbs instead of just growing longer.

This entire pruning process usually takes us 2–3 weeks to complete, including hauling away and cleaning up all the cut branches.

Once pruning is finished, we continue regular fertilizing and fungal spray programs throughout the summer to keep the trees healthy and vigorous. All of this hard work now helps ensure a beautiful, bountiful crop of peaches next spring.

Farming is definitely a year-round job — even when there aren’t peaches on the trees. 🍑
