Went over yesterday before the rain and burned a little brush pile….not sure if you guys know this, but ashes are a natural insecticide. The cattle will get in them and will not have a fly on them!! Free nugget there!!
Also had my first purebred Santa Gertrudis born yesterday and I was so thankful that it’s a heifer!!

Checking cows the other day, this rain has helped the grass so the cattle are really looking good! I always make sure I have a salt block and high quality minerals in to my cows and I like to keep protein tubs available just so they are getting all the nutrients they need!!
