When you’re handing someone a golf club for the first time, you don’t want to overwhelm them with too much theory or technical instruction. The first goal is simple: make contact and have fun!
We begin by learning the basic sequence of the golf swing. Then she practices hitting a large ball. As her coordination improves, we gradually make the ball smaller until she is ready for a real golf ball.
The larger ball provides immediate feedback, makes success easier and builds confidence. With each repetition, the movement becomes more natural.
Then comes that magical moment—she hits a real golf ball and makes solid contact.
Once she feels that first good strike, she’s hooked! C
