We’re excited to share that Jay’s Tree Farm placed at the 2026 Indiana State Fair Christmas Tree Competition! 🌲🎉

We’re incredibly proud to have our trees recognized alongside so many talented growers across Indiana. Even more special is being part of the Indiana Christmas Tree Growers Association, an organization dedicated to supporting Indiana growers and promoting the tradition of real Christmas trees.

A lot of work goes into growing a great Christmas tree and we’re grateful to be part of a community that shares our passion for doing it right. ❤️🌲

Planting Christmas trees is more than just part of the job, it’s a family affair and one of our favorite annual traditions. 🌲❤️

Every tree we plant today is a future Christmas memory for a family to enjoy. We’re proud to grow them together, one season at a time.

The Christmas season starts long before the holidays arrive! 🎄

This spring has been all about building the best foundation for the next generation of trees. 🚜🌱

Here’s what we’ve been working on:
• Grinding stumps and roots from last year’s harvest so the land is ready to be replanted.
• Using drones to spread grass seed, creating healthy ground cover that helps reduce weeds and vines before new seedlings go in.
• Taking soil samples throughout the farm and fertilizing each section based on its specific pH needs to give every tree the best growing conditions.

Healthy Christmas trees begin with healthy soil and every step we take now helps ensure beautiful trees for years to come. ✨🌲

We love hearing the sweetest stories from our customers ❤️

The Smith family shared with us that visiting Jay’s Tree Farm is one their favorite holiday traditions! They’ve been coming to pick out their Christmas tree at our farm for 5 years in a row - going through a new season of life each year. From dating to bringing their daughter for the first time 🎄

Here’s their story:

“I had to share now that it’s almost time for us to come again on opening day and continue our tradition! We moved here from California for my husbands job and cutting down Christmas trees is NOT a thing there. When we moved here we knew that was something we wanted to do! We’re going on 5 years going to your tree farm on opening day and it is such a special part of our new life here in Indiana and the BEST family tradition.

Year 1 - Dating
Year 2 - Engaged + got a dog
Year 3 - Married
Year 4- Newly pregnant with our first baby
Year 5 - (this year) bringing our 4 month old daughter with us 🤍

It has been incredible to look back at these photos over the years and see the change within our family! We’re so excited to include our daughter with us this year. I had to share because of what it means to us coming to Jay’s every year”
