We grow flax, wheat, soybeans, pinto beans, oats, and cover crops. mall farms, healthy rural communities, trust, diversity, and sustainability. For your health, and for the environment's, we do not use any commercially produced fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, or genetically modified seeds.

A few highlights from our 2026 wheat harvest! 🌾

This year, we harvested 301 beautiful acres of certified organic spring wheat (hard red spring and hard white spring). Weather conditions were conducive to a smooth harvest and the quality and yield from this year’s crop were great despite unusually hot and dry weather throughout the growing season.

Now that the wheat crop has been taken off the field, we’ll let our stand of clover continue to grow into the fall, providing a number of benefits to the soil: Nitrogen fixation, erosion prevention, soil aeration, and w**d suppression to name a few! Soil health is the foundation of certified organic agriculture, and it’s what makes our wheat berries so nutritious and flavorful! 🚜

We were delighted to have the team from Mezzaluna visit the farm on Monday afternoon!

We appreciate Mezzaluna’s thoughtful ingredient sourcing and their dedication to supporting local foods and organic agriculture at their restaurant.

It’s rewarding for us to create these relationships and to continue to learn how farmers and chefs can work together and support each other. We’re grateful that they help us bring our organic grains from field to table!

We had the privilege of hosting MN Ag Commissioner Thom Petersen, Deputy Commissioner Andrea Vaubel, Assistant Commissioner Peder Kjeseth, Executive Assistant Anna Gedstad, MN State Senator Rob Kupec, Legislative Coordinator Tamara Grady, and Committee Administrator for Agriculture, Veterans, Broadband & Rural Development Nick Roth at the farm on Monday morning!

Discussions were held on current agricultural policies, rural development, ag technology, organic agriculture, & local foods. We are so appreciative of the work that they do to support all aspects of agriculture across MN!

Special thanks to Humble Bread for providing delicious loaves of bread made with our certified organic whole wheat flour to share with the group!

Wheat harvest is almost here! 🌾 Cue the excitement! 👏🏻

This is by far one of my favorite times of the year on the farm. So many fond memories of driving the combine with grandpa & dad, learning how to dump grain trucks into the bins, and eating mom’s homemade peach pie on the tailgate of the pickup. Does it get any better?!

We can’t wait to share this year’s harvest with you and to see all of the ways that you’ll use these certified organic berries in your own homes, restaurants and bakeries.

Our organic wheat fields are in the flowering (anthesis) growth stage. This is the wheat’s reproductive period, when the plant releases pollen and transitions from a time of vegetative growth to grain fill. It is one of the most critical times in the wheat’s development, when environmental stressors can significantly impact grain quality and yield.
