To our ReignsRanch family,

I wanted to apologize for being a little quiet lately and not posting as much as usual. On July 7th, I underwent a full hysterectomy/salpingectomy and recovery has been more difficult than I anticipated.

After several days in the hospital, I was finally able to come home last night. While I’m thankful to be home, I still have a long road of healing ahead of me. Right now, I’m focusing on resting, recovering, and getting stronger each day.

Thank you to everyone who has checked in, sent prayers, messages, and support. It truly means more than you know. Your kindness has been such an encouragement during this time.

ReignsRanch isn’t going anywhere—we’ll be back to sharing our animals, farm life, and updates as I’m able. Thank you for your patience, grace, and continued support while I heal.

Please keep me in your prayers as I continue this recovery. ❤️

🚨 ReignsRanch Summer Tip Goat addition ☀️🐐 🚨

This Minnesota heat and humidity are no joke! While goats are pretty hardy animals, they can absolutely struggle when the temperatures and humidity climb.

Here are a few ways we help keep our herd comfortable:

Fresh, cool water – Check buckets or Richie’s multiple times a day and keep them clean. Warm, dirty water means they drink less.

Shade is a must – Whether it’s trees, a lean-to, or a barn with good airflow, every goat should have access to shade throughout the day… we have a play caterpillar and some play toys if you don’t have anything but have some toys that provide shade in your yard put it in with your goat friends get creative.

Keep the air moving – Fans in the barn can make a huge difference, especially on those humid days with little breeze.

Avoid unnecessary stress – Try to hold off on transporting, trimming hooves, or other stressful tasks during the hottest part of the day…. Hooves can wait.

Watch feed intake – Goats may eat a little less when it’s hot. Make sure they’re still drinking well and monitor everyone closely.

👀 Know the signs of heat stress:
• Excessive panting
• Open-mouth breathing
• Drooling
• Weakness or staggering
• Lethargy or not wanting to move

If you notice these signs, move them to shade immediately, offer cool.. think lukewarm (not ice-cold) water, and contact your vet if they don’t improve.

A little extra attention during heat waves goes a long way. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and don’t forget to check on all of your animals—they’re counting on us.

🚨 ReignsRanch Summer Horse Tip 🚨

With these hot summer days officially here, here’s a friendly reminder for all horse owners. 🥵☀️

If you’re cooling your horse off with a hose, don’t forget to use a sweat scraper afterward!

Leaving water sitting on your horse can actually trap heat against their body, much like wearing a wet blanket. By scraping off the excess water, you allow evaporation to do its job and help your horse cool down much more effectively.

💦 Hose them down.
🪣 Scrape the water off.
🔁 Repeat as needed until they’re cool.

A few extra minutes can make a big difference in helping your horse recover safely after a ride or turnout in this heat. Stay cool and keep those ponies happy! 🐴❤️

Sorry we’ve been a little absent lately — Memorial Day weekend looks a little different when you own a farm. While most people were relaxing, we were putting in the work and honestly loving every minute of it.

This “long weekend” was full of pasture clean up, spreading manure on the hay fields, laying grass seed, mowing the lawn, staining the deck, hitching posts, and the new stairs for mounting the horses. We also had several babies head off to their new homes, and the rest officially got weaned today and will be heading to their new families over the next week or so.

It’s been busy, messy, productive, exhausting, and rewarding all at the same time …the kind of weekend that reminds us how blessed we are to live this life. Thank you guys for sticking around while we play catch up over here at ReignsRanch. We’ve got lots of updates, baby spam, and exciting things coming soon 🤍🐐🌾🐴

Introducing our 2026 ReignsRanch babies so far!

We still have 5 does left to kid, and I’m currently missing photos of one little one I’ll be retaining.

As always, we run a clean, tested herd, and every baby leaves here set up for success. Our kids go home:

• Fully vaccinated
• Dewormed
• Started on coccidiosis prevention

Each baby also goes home with a ReignsRanch care packet and guide to help you give them the healthiest start possible.

I’m always here for my buyers—this is not a “buy and done” program. I’m available 24/7 for questions, support, and guidance every step of the way.

Kidding chaos today over here.

Uki went into labor around 10 AM but wasn’t progressing. She was calm and resting most of the day. Around 5 PM I gave her oxytocin to try to help things along. PER vets order.. there is more details..

At the same time, I had to assist S’mores, who delivered two healthy twin girls.

Then things took a turn — Cocoa accidentally laid on her baby boy, breaking his spine. Unfortunately we had to humanely euthanize him.

Right after that, Uki began wheezing and gasping for air while pushing. Her baby was stuck in the pelvis and far too large to pass. The vet had to remove the baby Sadly, he did not survive.

Behind him, though, we were able to deliver a very healthy living doeling.

Meanwhile — because apparently that wasn’t enough for one evening — Lilac went into labor at the same time we were treating Uki. Her first kid came head first but positioned wrong, so I had to push him back in and reposition while the vet worked on Uki. Lilac ended up delivering two healthy twin boys.

To top it all off, Uki decided she wanted every baby of lilacs and kept trying to steal them, so I had to drag out more blue kidding pens and separate them..

I am officially maxed out for one day.

I will post photos of everyone after I get some sleep. 😴
