Rodenborg Farm We are a private farm that raises quality hay and a small commercial cattle herd. Offer quaint boarding to a select few horses.

Our son named this cow! :) We purchased her bred for a summer calf. Her name is Gertrude aka “Gertie” for short! She’s a 4-6yo commercial beef (angus mix) cow. 🐮

Well Berry finally had her calf last night. A strong healthy black bull. That rounds out our calving season this year!

We finally took advantage of the sunny day to get some hay baled and hauled back to the farm yesterday.

We had an audience as we were pulling in with our entourage of wagons loaded down with delicious hay.

The weather has been tricky this year! Friends don’t forget to thank a farmer for producing hay, because it’s going to be slim pickings for high quality/dry no rain hay.

Going to wrap bales tonight so they can ferment and be fed as good quality high moisture haylage this winter.

💚

And the cows finally made it onto pasture! Still waiting on 3 to calve but it was time for them to get out there! 🥰
