Suncatcher Farm is an extension of our homestead, 15 beautiful acres in Moravian Falls, NC where we utilize holistic stewardship practices to restore the land. We harness the amazing power of the sun to transform the landscape via the workings of plants, livestock, wildlife, fungi, and people. We aim to foster a bountiful ecosystem through active participation rather than hands-off preservation. W

e are committed to producing food with integrity and want to invite you to share in regenerative and sustainable agricultural practices by choosing to support us, our animals, and the land. Simply put, this is our home, and we hope to share some of it with you! We offer:

From week 1 to week 7 the growth and change is pretty impressive!

Did you know we typically process our chickens around the 8/9 week mark? Commercially it's closer to 6 weeks with big pushes for growth and little consideration for taste and quality of meat. We prefer a slightly slower growing breed and we don't push for super rapid growth. The extra days spent in sunshine, foraging, and growing slower come across in taste and quality.

But hey. The dairy queens are on the main farm-stand if you want to say hi when you grab your milk! Just watch the fence, it's always hot. Oh, and if you haven't stopped and admired the mural, please do. It's phenomenal.

We need it!

We are grateful to have plenty of grass but we are watching the quality fade away quickly. We count on the lush green growth for the dairy cows to have quality feed as well as the lactating sheep. Quality grass = high quantity of milk.

We are doing our best to manage everything the best we can while taking into account the needs of the animal, the land, and the farmer!

The dairy queens 👑🥛

Why is raw dairy such an important part of our farm & life? Because it has been life-changing for me (Vanessa). I grew up with chronic asthma, eczema, and year-round allergies. I once had a doctor tell me I was allergic to the environment (😂) because I would break out in rashes or welts in extreme cold or heat. I finally found a naturopath that convinced me to go off dairy when I was a teenager. It was like magic over the next few weeks. Most everything disappeared.

Fast forward to my early 20's as I deep dived into real food, and found out dairy is not the culprit. The culprit is how dairy is produced and processed. We got goats. We got cows. I easily drink over a quart of raw A2/A2 grass-fed milk, and happily add cheese to every meal.

My story won't be everyone's but if you have never done a deep dive into how dairy is processed and how that affects our bodies, I encourage you to do so and consider finding a local dairy near you. It can be challenging, but I'm happy to help navigate roadblocks if you are encountering them. If you are local, check us out! We will have openings for weekly milk pick-up SOLD AS PET MILK PER NC LAW in a few weeks when two more cows calve!

Our milk is raw, A2/A2, grass-fed, & holistically managed. We will ALWAYS answer any questions and let you meet the herd.

Welcome to the garden! I get asked lots of questions about gardening and what my secret is. Honestly? Trial, error, sweat, and tears! 😂😅

To everyone supporting us by choosing to source your veggies locally, we are grateful! Being able to FINALLY have consistent surplus vegetables has been a goal for a while. Keep your eyes out for the new farmstand, it will stay stocked with veggies throughout the year!
