Welcome to our home, our story, our little plot of land on a mountain in the middle of nowhere that has hosted people from all over the world. The story of us and of this land. A God story. A story of fulfilled promises.

In 2008, we set out on a God-adventure...having no clue where it would take us. We left ALL we knew...careers, dream home, family...and set out into the unknown. Into the wide open space of discovering GOD’s BEST for us. It has been quite a journey...one I will not go into now...but in 2012 it landed us up on a mountain in Moravian Falls, NC.

On this same mountain, 20 some years ago...a man named Buck Petty and his wife, Elaine, had followed God and really set out into the unknown as well. They bought this land and began clearing it for roads and making it a place where people could come from ALL OVER THE WORLD to simply rest and be and hear from the Lord. In a dream, the Lord told Elaine WHERE to build this lodge, the exact dimensions, and the purposes of it. They were faithful. For twenty years they hosted and loved on people WELL. But, as all things in life, the season of them being able to carry for the lodge and land were waning. MANY had said they felt we were the ones to steward it next...but it was an impossibility in our own strength. We all held it in prayer for YEARS...until...it was time. And by it being time, I do not mean to imply we had figured it all out:)...what I mean by it being time is that God SAID it was time.

So much to share there that I won’t go into now but will let unfold as the story does...but now, two years later, here we are. IN the lodge, ON the land...loving it and restoring it and stewarding it to the best of our ability. We STILL see this as a place where MANY will come for community, for comfort, for going further and for being launched out. The Lord told me well before we were here that it was a BASECAMP: a camp at the base of a mountain from which mountaineering expeditions set out. I love that. My hopes are that whether you come to stay for a weekend, come for one of our gatherings, or purchase one of our goods made here on the farm...you will be touched and expanded and furthered in some way, shape or form.
