Today us girls were left unsupervised while in town today. 😃 we were actually lucky enough to pick up 25 Cornish cross chicken. These are purely meat birds. This will be our first set.

Today is a sad day at 423 Ranch. We lost or boy Sonny. He was given a pardon at about 3 days old. He was a Cornish cross chicken that typically get butchered at about 8 weeks. Well Sonny had a rough start at life and Brooklyn saved him. We told her if he pulled through she could have him as a pet. He made it just over a year old. He was such a sweet boy and he will be missed deeply. Love you Sonny boy.

Ok we have been awful about posting lately and I am very sorry. Things have been a bit crazy around here with Jaime working, me falling down the basement stairs and messing up my foot pretty badly, weather and animals. We have had a couple losses but many many new babies. I am so ready for spring. We got a good amount of snow for this area this year so that has been challenging with one foot injured. Well our place just brought on 12 pigs. 3 are pregnant with one of them due any day. I guess I’m am pretty good at pig wrestling. They were soaked from the rain and muddy messes but we got them all loaded. Now we sit and wait on babies.
