The native bees are just as excited as I am to see the first flowers of the year opening up. This is our first year growing flowers in the high tunnel and I am really happy with things so far. Anemones and poppies are popping open every day.

The days are slowly shortening and a break from the warmest weather is finally here. The garden is in it’s full Autumn stride now, muscling all of its strength for it’s season finale. The stems are long and strong, the colors are bold and rich and every bit of energy is being put to work for the last great performance. It’s a spectacular sight to witness.
