Meet Roxy – 11-Year-Old Red Roan Grade Mare

Roxy is an 11-year-old red roan grade mare that we have owned for approximately four years. She originally came from a ranch where she was used as a practice barrel horse.

Roxy has primarily been used as a dependable pack horse and as an embryo recipient. She has proven to be a strong, reliable pack horse and an excellent broodmare/recipient, consistently doing her job well and taking great care of the foals she has carried for us.

On the ground, Roxy is easy to handle, loads well, and is good for the farrier. She is rideable, but she is best suited for an experienced rider.

Roxy has been a solid, useful mare for us in both ranch and breeding roles. She has always done what we’ve asked of her, and we simply no longer have a job for her. We would like to see her go to a home where her strengths can continue to be put to good use.
