We’ve Done It!

Dream Fulfilled.

Together, with all of you.

Thank You.

Early in the year, when we announced our plans for wine-ding down, we had no way of predicting how folks would respond.

We simply felt it was the best way to respect the relationships with our team and our customers.

W-O-W !

The outpouring of support has been AMAZING!

You have made our hearts smile with your stories of Serenberry - and the many memorable moments shared.

At first, it was hard to hear how much Serenberry will be missed.

Then, we realized…

What a distinct honor it is to have been able to share this special space and to create the kinds of experiences that touch hearts and create lifelong memories - so much so, that it will be missed.

Connection.

It was our dream from the beginning.

To offer a space for folks to connect with nature’s simple pleasures.

Many of you have been visiting Serenberry since the earliest of days, and just as many of you have discovered us more recently.

And, oh so many of you have brought your family and friends, told others about us, and have chosen to come back often.

Thank You for supporting our small business with a big dream.

We have experienced immeasurable joy, weathered unforeseen storms, and enjoyed tremendous growth while staying true to who we are.

We are immensely grateful for this season of Serenberry.

And, for each one of you.

In the words of Nelson Mandela, here is our sincere wish for you:

May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears.

Beginnings & endings are often intertwined.

Life is a series of hellos and goodbyes, as Billy Joel astutely observes.

And, nature offers a beautiful reminder of this each morning and evening.

This is the last weekend to sip wines at Serenberry's Tasting Barn - and we hope to see you here!

Savor the Day!

Behind nearly every small business is a big, bold dream.

Small businesses are innovative by nature, and offer unique products and services - all while forming emotional connections with their customers.

In our experience, small business owners care deeply for their customers and communities. We certainly do!

Over 75% of the products we offer are one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted, or narrowly distributed items from small businesses.

And, the majority of these are made in our home state of Georgia, traveling a short distance before arriving on our doorstep.

Shopping Small = Supporting Dreams.

Thank You to everyone who helps to fuel the dreams of small business owners, like the makers behind the products in our shop.

Savor the Day!

Dream Big. Act Small.

This has been our mantra since the very beginning of Serenberry.

We dare to dream big, and take small actions all along the way to propel us closer to what we envision.

2025 marks the beginning of our eighteenth year chasing our dream and pouring our hearts and souls into all things Serenberry.

The dream we set out to achieve stretches beyond making delectable wines - that’s a given - and is about offering a space for folks to connect with nature’s simple pleasures.

Serenberry has grown steadily across the years - both literally and figuratively.

And, in all the ways that matter, serving as a springboard for connection and sparking a plethora of meaningful moments.

When folks tell us that ‘a visit to Serenberry feels like coming home’, it makes our hearts smile.

Our dream has come to life!

And now, thanks to all of you, we are days away from fulfilling our dream.

We will be open this Thursday through Sunday.

Thank You to everyone who has visited through the years - and since early January, when we first announced our plan of wine-ding down our business and retiring from the wine industry at the end of this month.

Your presence is such an incredible gift to all of us at Serenberry.

Savor the Day!

Have you seen this mural?

Painted in Downtown Blue Ridge, in 2016, this mural - at the corner of East 1st and Mountain Streets - celebrates our long-term partnership with the Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association (BRMAA).

Blue Ridge is one of the top 5 Art Towns in Georgia. The BRMAA is a non-profit arts council providing opportunities for artists of all ages and mediums.

The BRMAA has hosted their Plein Air 'Quick Paint' event - in conjunction with the Annual International Worldwide Artist Paint Out - at Serenberry multiple years. It is fun and impressive - artists only have one hour to create a masterpiece!

In 2018, over 50 artists had just completed their creations when clouds started rolling in. Rain looked imminent, so the artists and their supporters - headed inside our winery with their freshly painted canvases.

Serenberry's brand new winery became a pop=up art gallery in minutes!

Winners were announced to the largest Plein Air 'Quick Paint' crowd in BRMAA's history.

Rounding out this stroll through memorable moments...The BRMAA’s annual Cork & Canvas event.

For over a decade, we have delighted in sharing Serenberry wines with supporters of the arts. All of the event proceeds benefit youth arts programming, including their Summer Art Camp and youth arts education scholarships.

March is Youth Art Month. To celebrate, check out the emerging artist exhibit, through March 29th, at the BRMAA in Downtown Blue Ridge.

Thank You to everyone who shares their creativity with others - and to their supporters, the Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association.

Savor the Day!

Nature has a way of reminding us...

We are all connected.

Positive and intentional actions can lead to beautiful and awe-inspiring outcomes.

Since the early days of Serenberry, we have planted native plants around our Tasting Barn and The OAB, our open air barn.

Because native plants have evolved over the years to their habitat, they naturally thrive and support other living things within their ecosystem. Another benefit? They require less water and maintenance.

We are thrilled to have discovered who sustainably source and grow native plants for Georgia and the southeast. The owner, Katy, and her team, are friendly, knowledgeable, and super helpful.

More native plants lead to more pollinators!

This has made it even more fun to participate in the Great Southeast Pollinator Census - a citizen science project created by Becky Griffin with the University of Georgia Extension.

Pollinators are essential to our ecosystem, and the census helps to pinpoint pollinator population information.

Fun Fact: Fireflies, delighting folks for generations with their fanciful flashes of light, are also pollinators.

And, thanks to our local chamber, and their partnership with the UGA extension, we have learned...

Keeping the night sky as dark as possible helps fireflies communicate with each other and find a mate.

So, for a future filled with fireflies, let's take a simple and highly impactful action:

Lights Off. Fireflies On.

Thank You for all the ways, big and small, you are a good steward for the environment we all share.

Savor the Day!

Serenberry Cares about our Community - and so does our team.

And, so do our customers!

Across the years, many of you have opened your hearts - and your wallets - to support local non-profit organizations doing wonderful and much-needed work.

Thank You for sharing your love and support in so many ways.

Where were you on August 21, 2017?

Over 300 folks joined us at Serenberry for one of nature's most awe inspiring sights - a total solar eclipse.

It was the first eclipse - in 99 years = to be visible across the country, as its path of totality spanned from the Pacific to the Atlantic coasts.

From early in the day to early in the afternoon, a continuous flow of vehicles made their way down our one-lane gravel road to arrive at Serenberry.

There was quite a crowd, and yet, it did not feel crowded at all. Folks found their own little viewing nooks in and around our wide open spaces.

Then, when the moon's shadow was mere moments away from completely blocking the sun's light...

A small grouping of clouds began to make their way across this mesmerizing sight - and threatened our view of the eclipse.

A multitude of folks let out a loud, collective sigh, while emphatically trying to physically wave the clouds away.

And then, as if our power of persuasion worked, the clouds immediately scurried on by.

Seconds later...

The "Great American Eclipse" was in its full, glorious display of totality at Serenberry.

It was as if night-time had quickly fallen at 2:30 in the afternoon.

The sky became so dark, our lone street light came on.

We could feel the temperature drop significantly.

The crickets started chirping, and our neighbor's chickens ceased their crowing and cackling, and headed to roost.

It was an experience to remember.

Thank You, Totality, for visiting Serenberry - and to all who now share this memory with us.

Savor the Day!

We are grateful for everything - and everyone - that makes Serenberry what it is.

This is one of the reasons we have poured our energy into a few simple, yet fun and meaningful, events each year to celebrate all the goodness.

In the early years of Awake the Grapes, we enlisted folks to awaken the vines from their winter slumber by playing 'Reveille' with their brass instruments. We raised a glass of Serenberry wine - often one of our new releases - as we shared our gratitude and hopes for the year around a bonfire of our winter prunings.

Folks who visited us in the earliest of days may remember our red 1951 Ford truck and our neighbor's horses galloping around the wide open spaces behind Serenberry's Tasting Barn.

We later expanded to a trio of events, with Summer Spectacular and Harvest Hoopla rounding out our annual season of celebration.

These lively days have been filled with delicious food, delectable Serenberry wines, and live music - with a line-up of familiar and talented musicians, each embodying our fun, festive, and farm-charmy vibes in their own, unique way. Special thanks to Amy Andrews, Mighty Quinn, and Max & Maggie for helping to spark a comfy feeling of 'coming home', year after year.

Thank You to each and every person who soaked up the sunshine with us, and made 'Event Days' so energizing and memorable.

Immerse yourself in nature. Be an integral member of a team. Make personal connections. Any of these can be powerful, memorable, and a natural booster for happiness.

A trifecta of magnificence - nature, team, and connection - nourishes the core of our being, as humans, and is what makes ‘Harvest Day’ at Serenberry one of the most rewarding times of the year.

When harvest day arrives, folks from various backgrounds come together, filled with giddy anticipation, knowing they will be part of something truly special. For some, it is an annual tradition; for others, it is a once-in-a-lifetime event.

The work that goes into planting, pruning, and tending to the grapevines, year after year, culminates in a glorious harvest of moments.

Moments when nature gently nudges us to soak up our surroundings.

Moments when each of us plays a role in gathering bunches of grapes beyond what any one person could collect.

Moments when we are 'all in' engaged with others at a level that is rarely found, especially among those who met mere moments ago.

Thank You to the scores of incredible volunteers who have harvested our grapes - each bunch by hand - alongside our Serenberry team. We, quite literally, could not have done it without you.

Harvest Day is a unique and fun experience that will live in our mental scrapbook for many seasons.
