Lonely Spruce Farmstead Farmstead Our beautiful farmstead is nestled in the rolling hills of northern brown county in the small town of Bean Blossom, IN. And 21% less saturated fat.

We specialize in Cornish Cross meat broilers! Our Cornish Cross broilers are raised from day old chicks on our farm. They are pasture raised in moveable chicken tractors. Our broilers are only fed non-GMO feed, No antibiotics are ever given and are pasture raised. They are moved daily, receiving fresh grass and bugs everyday providing a better quality of life for the chicken and our Eco-System. Our chickens have access to fresh air and sunshine daily. Pasture raised chickens are more flavorful and healthier for you due to them having higher Omega 3, have a lower Omega 6:3 ratio and be higher in antioxidants such as Vitamin A-D-E. Lonely Spruce has been busy after work this week building the second roll around sheep shelter. The boys Arlo the Ram and 007 the wether and friends where a little jealous when they heard the girls had what they call the most sophisticated luxury Mobil shelter on wheels money can buy. So they insisted that I would build them one. 😆 Little do they know I have $200 in this set up and three hours in labor! But hey if they think it’s the best I will provide!

Lonely Spruce is accepting orders for chicken for 2027 Don’t get left out.

I will be taking pre-orders starting October 1st - January 1st for 2027. I will be raising a batch of chickens that will be available end of April 2027. I will need a 20% deposit down before January 1st.

I will be offering

Pkg #1 - Whole chicken $6.50 per pound avg weight 4.5lb

Pkg # 2 Whole chicken cut $34.00 per pkg average weight 4.5 pounds
2-breast
2-drumsticks
2-thighs

Pkg # 3 wings $5.00 lb 2lb pkgs
