Friends of Woodburn Shanks:

With grateful and heavy hearts we have decided to close Woodburn Shanks BBQ after 10 years. We have decided to spend more time with family and move onto the next adventure. First, we want to thank our staff. Staff stayed with us through the ups and downs of COVID, inflation, and extreme staffing shortages that put a higher burden on the staff still standing. Our staff have become family, we are SO incredibly grateful to you. Thank you to our customers, whether we catered your wedding, family reunion, tailgate, or you joined us at the food truck, the old mall, the Sabraton location or at our most recent location on Cheat Road. Finally thanks to Papa Fred Shanks, Traci Shanks, and my wife Kat who provided unconditional support through the crazy dream that is owning a restaurant.

If anyone wants to send a final tip to a specific employee or to be divided among our most recent staff of 5, please venmo -Malone-6 OR -garvey. We will make sure tips go to your designated person(s).

Hello friends near and far, I'd like to thank you for voting for WoodBurn Shanks BBQ for Best of Morgantown 2023. We're so happy to be back, and we're so happy to hear from you that we have brought the same quality into this location as our last location, where we last won BOM in 2020. We hope to keep it going on into the future (with your help)!
Extra big thanks to our wonderful staff, who are all amazing. And to my wonderful family for the unwavering support ❤️ Someday, I will work much less.

Food preparation worker wanted.
You'd help cooks and other kitchen staff by preparing ingredients for dishes. Common duties include slicing and dicing vegetables, and meat; making salads, sandwiches, and other food items; and keeping refrigerators and steam tables stocked and clean.
Food preparation workers must be able to quickly and safely chop vegetables, cut meat, and perform other tasks with sharp knives.
Food preparation workers must work well with kitchen staff to ensure that dishes are prepared properly and on time.
Successful candidate must have Good Listening skills, Good Interpersonal skills, and must be Reliable.
