📣 NEW ANNOUNCEMENT! 📣
🛍️ WHAT’S YOUR GREATEST YARD SALE, THRIFT STORE, AUCTION, OR ESTATE SALE FIND? 🏡🕰️📚
With our Morley City-Wide Yard Sales coming up next Friday and Saturday, I thought this would be a fun way to get everyone excited! 🎉
I want to hear about your greatest treasure! ❤️ Maybe it’s something you collect, something worth money, or something that holds a special memory. Better yet, SHOW ME YOUR PICTURES! 📸
🙋🏼♀️ I’ll go first!
Last weekend, I went to an auction and spotted a box of old books that nobody seemed to want. I thought to myself, “For $1.00 for the WHOLE BOX, I’ll take it!” 😂
Well, let me tell you, I found myself a TREASURE! ❤️
📖 Inside was an old cookbook that belonged to Mary Ann Phillips. That alone is something I’ll treasure!
🎶 But then I found an old hymnal! From what I’ve learned, this book was used for music lessons in school, and it’s approximately 151 YEARS OLD! 😲
And here’s where it gets even better!
Tucked inside was an old handwritten letter in GERMAN and a photograph! 😍 I can only imagine who they belonged to. Maybe the original owner of the book? Maybe a schoolteacher? Oh, the stories these old treasures could tell!
❤️ That’s what I love about thrifting! It’s not always about what something is worth in dollars. Sometimes it’s about the history, the memories, and the little pieces of someone’s life that might have otherwise been forgotten.
I just love giving old things a new home! 🏡❤️
Now it’s YOUR TURN! 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
