I appreciate all the buyers and everyone spreading the word on first two groups of hogs we sold.

We will be taking our final group of hogs until this summer to Grantfork Meats on March 5th. The price will be $0.85/lb hanging weight on this group. The price this summer will almost certainly be higher so if you are on the fence about getting one I would recommend you get one from this group. I currently have 2 available.

To address a few of the questions and comments I received, here is a quick summary:

Processing costs vary. There is a $75 slaughter fee then $0.95/lb butcher cost. There is additional cost for sausage, burgers, or brats. Reach out to Grantfork Meats for more details or clarification.

Actual pounds of meat you take home will vary but will be approximately 70% of the dressed/hanging weight. The size hogs we are taking in should get you 130-160 lbs of meat. A quick google search of hog butchering cut sheet will give you a lot of nice breakdowns on the different cuts you can get.

Our price is based on the market and what we are selling hogs for. Unfortunately, I can not predict exactly what the market will do but in general the price is lower in the winter (now) and quite a bit higher in the summer. If a hog is purchased during the seasonal highs of the market, it will likely be $1.10-1.50/lb.

Please reach out to me if you have any questions.
