We have been pleasantly surprised with our first honey harvest this year. We bottled over 250 lbs. of honey!

Our honey is always so light and sweet from our bees pollinating all the flowers we grow.

Uncapping each frame and transferring it to the extractor is a sweet, sticky job, but somebody has to do it. 🤣

We're even experimenting with using our lavender to create a lavender-infused honey. 🥰

If you enjoy honey, we have half pound, one pound, and two pound bottles available for $10 per pound.

I love DeVries Nature Conservancy's homesteading camp!

When my son first attending years ago, he came home brimming with excitement. He took care of the chickens, made pickles and zucchini bread, and played outside. He was hooked! Now, he gets to help out at camp.

I am lucky enough to get invited to make bouquets with campers. Every year, I am so impressed by their creations. I also adore hearing who will be gifted their bouquets and why. 🥰 Always such sweet stories!

In the middle of all the flower growing and harvesting, our goat Boots gave birth to triplets a few days ahead of her due date window.

She is such a fantastic mom!

After the deer were caught snacking, my husband put netted fences around the raised beds with the tulips.

We've had several nights now that have been snack-free.

The new challenge will be harvesting tulips as they color up while encased in netting. 🤣

Life is never dull!
