After the deer were caught snacking, my husband put netted fences around the raised beds with the tulips.

We've had several nights now that have been snack-free.

The new challenge will be harvesting tulips as they color up while encased in netting. 🤣

Life on our little flower farm is hardly ever boring.

Last night, my son looked out the back window to see a small herd of trespassers who had hopped the electric fence and were loudly munching my tulips. They were rude enogh to toss bulbs around and then leave before cleaning up! We counted between 5 to 6 of the fiends.

We've grown tulips for years without this intrusion, so
tonight, a new level of security goes up.

Here's to hoping I can replant the bulbs, let them grow, and try to salvage the damaged tulips for next year.

You can see that this is NOT an extremely streamlined operation working with many workers in a fancy building. 😂

I am amazed at how ugly some of our tubers are, yet they pump out such beautiful
