An easy helpful trick

Just a little bit of what goes into halter breaking our babies. This foal was used to her dam being protective and keeping her distance from us.. so naturally baby did too. We gave mom enough time to settle down and brought the filly in for some desensitization and halter training a couple days ago.
Heart lost a foal early a few years back. Since then she has always been nervous for a couple weeks after giving birth. This filly would walk up to us after birth but her dam would redirect her away. She’s just being a good mom!
