Snows coming down again but it’s light. 930 animal welfare check complete. Added more straw to the breeding stock shed so they’re ready for bed now. I think the matriarch, Blonde, smiled at me as I was leaving the pen as if to say thank you.
It’s pretty outside but it sucks when you have livestock. Keep warm y’all

Well evening chores are done and all the animals are fed and watered once again. Will have to check on show goats again before bed but until then we’ll enjoy our warm home. Thank you Lord for your blessings, especially the roof over our heads!
More snow is coming the weather guessers say so hunker down folks and dont get out if you dont need to, its a different kind of cold we okies arent used to

It’s been a minute since I posted much to this page, but trust me we’re still growing food and working on improving the soil for next years crops. Picked some fresh Georgia Southern collards this afternoon and just finished making pot of greens. Don’t knock ‘em till you try ‘em, they’re way good!
This warm weather got me looking for something to plant but I know better. It’s just a tease

We have about 6-8 fresh cantaloupe picked this morning and lots of slicer cucumbers if anyone interested just let us know. Sorry but all tomatoes are sold for the weekend
