It’s been awhile since we’ve posted to our page so to celebrate the first day of calving season today we are going to do a giveaway for our followers !!!! Here’s the details: To win a hat and a laser engraved Deets Farms yeti cup in your color of choice you have to guess the day our last calf of the 2025 spring season will be born. A hint, we turned our bulls in May 31st and pulled them out July 31st so approximately a 60 day breeding window. In the event multiple people guess the same day and it’s correct we will give the range of ear tag numbers on our cows and the closest guess to the last mama to calve will win. Good luck !!!

Our first round of earlier planted sweet corn now available !!! We are setup today the same place as last year across from Super Wash/ Family Chef in Morrison 🌽🌽🌽 $4/ dozen til we sell out ! We will have much larger quantities in another week to 10 days !!! Thanks !

Well the weather outside is 🥶❄️🌨️ so we’re just rotating in a few our our freshies born today to the Deets Farms day spa ☀️💅🏻 once they get dry and warm they’ll head back out to mommas.

It’s full speed ahead with calving, lots of babies hitting the ground pretty much every day. We don’t normally weigh our calves but this one got our attention being a lot larger than our normal size. Can’t wait to see this big boy this fall ! Our farm helper got so excited that he dumped out the entire tagging bucket in a pile of 💩 Everyday is another adventure 🙃 😂

Farm Kids Are Just Built Different❄️❄️❄️

A nice warm up today from the weather the last couple days. Feel like temperature was -20 when we started chores this morning. I was in the shed warming up the tractor and heard two little voices outside. I wasn’t even all that shocked to find two kids that had snuck out of the house after dressing themselves and were playing in the snow. Having livestock and animals to care for teaches kids a lifelong work ethic that they will benefit from forever. I told these two to get inside (granted one of them has been sick for over a week and just finally getting better) and of course was greeted with, “but dad you’re outside, can we stay out if we help you?”
