Our ducks have been absolutely loving their summer days out on pasture! 🦆

We use rotational grazing for our ducks. Every 2-3 weeks, they're moved onto fresh pasture, where they devour the snails, slugs, and dandelions. They love making little trails through the tall grasses as they explore and actually crimp down the entire field with their little feet within the 2-3 weeks! They make finding their eggs quite a fun game each day, as they like to hide them in little nests they dig out amongst the tall grasses. 🥚

Apple orchard restoration update! 🍎🌸

This spring, we've been thrilled to see that the invasive buckthorn we cleared last year hasn't come back! The old trees we're reviving have been loving the lack of competition, and the baby trees we grafted with last year are continuing to grow well!

The old trees are currently flush with rosy flowers, and the abundance and diversity of pollinators visiting them has been tremendous - it sounds as though the trees themselves are buzzing with excitement for spring!

We've been packing out some truly beautiful mushrooms this week! Did you know that you can pick up our freshly harvested mushrooms at the North Country Food Co-op, Green Goddess Natural Market, Nori's, and Essex Food Hub?

As a CSA member, you'll receive our freshly harvested mushrooms delivered right to your door each month along with farmer-tested recipes and cooking tips. You can choose a small, medium, or large share, and even add-on our pasture-raised duck eggs!

This week we'll be delivering the last monthly mushroom box for our Winter CSA, with next month starting our Spring CSA! Shown here is a large share, along with a duck egg add-on. As a CSA member, you'll receive our freshly harvested mushrooms delivered right to your door each month (March - May) along with farmer-tested recipes and cooking tips.

What a beautiful winter morning! Our ducks have been enjoying getting to spend more time outside these past couple days, thanks to the warmer temperatures. ❄️ 🦆 ❄️

We're so excited to see what this new year will bring! We've started off the year experimenting with new varieties that we haven't grown before. Shown here is Comb Tooth, a delicious mushroom with a funky fractal form that so beautifully matches the snowy landscape outside. ❄️
