💙❤️ DUNCAN LUMBER UPDATE ❤️💙

As someone told me, “We can build buildings back, but you can’t build people.”

That statement has stuck with us through all of this. While there’s damage and a lot of cleanup ahead, we are beyond thankful that no one was hurt. That’s what matters most.

We may be limping a little right now, but we are still here — and we aren’t going anywhere.

We want to sincerely thank everyone for the prayers, messages, calls, support, and all the helping hands that showed up to help us clean up and start putting things back together. We are blessed with an amazing community.

While we are hoping to reopen Tuesday, we will have to see where things stand over the next couple of days. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we continue cleaning up, reorganizing, and figuring out our temporary setup.

Thank you for standing with Duncan Lumber through it all. Since 1909, we’ve weathered storms before — and with God’s help and this community behind us, we’ll weather this one too. 💙

Please be patient as we travel from one field to the next!

Farm equipment is large and heavy, making it difficult for operators to accelerate, slow down and stop. They make wide turns and can cross over the center line. Farm vehicles can also create large blind spots, making it difficult for operators to see approaching vehicles behind them. Be patient and share the road with farm equipment.

Motorists should:

• Slow down and use caution when approaching farm equipment.

• Watch for falling debris.

• Wait for a safe place to pass.

• Drive with headlights on at all times.

Farm equipment operators should:

• Use lights and flashers to make equipment more visible.

• Use slow-moving vehicle emblems on equipment traveling less than 30 mph.

• Consider using a follow vehicle when moving equipment, especially at night.
