Chocolate Bundt Cake Recipe
2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tsp cornstarch
3/4 cup cocoa powder
2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup buttermilk
3/4 cup melted butter
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup hot coffee or espresso
Mix dry ingredients well.
Mix wet ingredients into dry and beat on medium speed until well incorporated, scraping down sides of the bowl as needed.
Add hot coffee and beat on medium speed until smooth.
Pour into buttered and floured Bundt pan.
Bake at 350F for 35-40 minutes.
For the frosting (single batch)…
2 sticks softened butter
3 cups powdered sugar
3 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla
6 ounces melted chocolate
(I like a mix of semi-sweet and dark)
Milk
Whip butter until fluffy and pale.
Add powdered sugar, cocoa powder, melted chocolate, and vanilla.
Mix on low speed until well combined, scraping down sides as needed.
Add milk a splash at a time, mixing well between each addition until desired consistency is reached.
