We’re seeing our first clutches come in and it never gets old—those beautiful, speckled eggs tucked into the straw.

Today is Good Friday.

A quiet, heavy day.

Out in the pasture, everything feels
 still.
The animals grazing side by side.
No striving. No rushing.

Peace—right in the middle of it all.

Sometimes it’s hard to understand how both can exist at once—
the weight of today
 and the calm we can still feel.
