Welcoming Shirley Mae’s HotShot by Mimi & Horner to Across the Pond! Our newest addition! 8 months old and half brother to Olaf, they bonded immediately. He and Olaf are exactly 1 year apart. Will be fun raising and training them together!
Theresa Horner always has beautiful Gypsy foals with amazing personalities!

Who wants to come show with us at the Imperial Horse Show at the Champions Center 4th of July weekend? They have Gypsy AND Non-Stock classes. Crossbreds and non-registered horses qualify as “non-stock” for this show. Double judged, awesome prizes, put on by the best horse show group! Dressage, Trail, Western, English, Ranch. W/T and W/T/C.

I may have a budding cowboy! 🤠 My youngest is always asking to ride now!

Olaf (right)- is 10 months now and has grown so much, he surpassed Hershey in height and is now trying to catch up to his Mama! He was gelded last month and did excellent! He has learned to lead and start moving away from pressure, enter the wash rack and get sprayed off and all the typical baby things! He’s doing great but little things like the wind or a cat jumping sometimes cause him to spook and want to jump in my lap 😆

This big boy will be 8 months next week! About as tall as Hershey now! It’s weaning time! Today is his first full day away from Mama!

We currently have two openings at Across the Pond Farm due to owners selling their horses. Offering both full and partial care, indoor arena, daily turnout, quality care!

Across the Pond may have a couple stalls available this fall. We have some horses here for sale and a couple moving out of state. I’ve touched base with those on my waitlist and most have either decided not to move or have already secured a spot elsewhere. If you enjoy excellent care, a family friendly/peaceful environment, daily turnout, an indoor arena, indoor wash-rack, and more…. This fun show looks like a blast!!!! We’ll be taking some horses from Across the Pond!!!! Every class has a leadline, youth w/t, youth w/t/c and ADULT division! C’mon adults, let’s get out there and show the kiddos how to have some fun!!!!

Olaf update:
Olaf will be 7 weeks tomorrow and will have been home from the hospital for 2 weeks! I turned them out in the pasture for the first time since being home today! So much better than arena turnout! He is back to his normal self and growing so big and strong! We will never forget his rough beginnings or all of the love and support from our friends, family and community! You will always be a part of his journey! Can’t wait to see what the future holds for this special guy!

Olaf Update Day 7:

GREAT NEWS!!! It’s like a light switch has flipped. He is now standing every hour on his own and nursing at will. He has to wear a muzzle because he can’t have solid food yet but they remove it when he stands so he can nurse. We are potentially looking at bringing him home by Saturday!!!

Now that he is on a lower level of care and will be coming home ahead of schedule, his estimated bill will total around 14k. It’s hefty but so much less than it could have been. I truly just don’t know how to say thank you enough for all the prayers and donations that are helping us through this time! My heart has been blessed beyond measure!
