These girls are two and four weeks old! They are growing beautifully and we are so excited for them to go to their new home when the time comes! At two weeks old the little lady in the pink collar is weighing in at 19 lbs, she is by far the biggest baby we have ever had. We are thrilled with this years kids and are excited for the progress we have made with breeding!

If you want a Rooted Legacy Saanen, we will have 4 bucks available. They can go registered or unregistered, and buckling or wethered. If you are interested reach out for more details!

Kidding season officially came to an end for us today, and what a season it has been!

We welcomed two more beautiful doelings and one buckling, bringing our totals to:
• 3 doelings
• 4 bucklings
• 2 stillborn premature babies😔

Farm life always brings both joy and heartbreak, and this season reminded us of just how precious every single baby is. Even through the hard moments, we have truly fallen in love with the breeding process — watching bloodlines grow, planning pairings, seeing healthy kids hit the ground, and learning more with every season.

Because of that passion, we are excited to share that Rooted Legacy Farm will soon be opening select stud breeding services with our Saanen bucks! We’ve put a lot of thought into our breeding program and are looking forward to helping other herds work toward strong, quality dairy genetics as well.

More details will be coming soon, and we cannot wait to share what we have been working toward! 🐐🤍

Because of Ohio laws, raw milk can’t be sold—but through a herd share, you can become a part-owner in our dairy herd and receive milk as a benefit of that partnership.

Farm life doesn’t pause—even at 3:40 in the morning, we find ourselves heading out to the barn. But mornings like this make it all worth it. We’re so thankful to share that this sweet momma welcomed two healthy doelings and is doing wonderfully. Parsnip truly is one of the very best mamas on our farm!
