BUILT DIFFERENT.
This is a two-word phrase my son uses that has taught me more than I can put into words.
5 events in a 36 hour timeframe, in 140 (at the least) degree heat on our trailer. Prep, and re-prep. Little sleep and long lines. We were worn, stressed and cranky. But Ty's phrase kept ringing in my head. BUILT DIFFERENT.
All through my life I've felt I was made for more. Leaving church last Sunday, Joe said those same words.
What we are doing is more. It's stretching limits. It is surpassing expectations. It's going on even when sometimes it seems the world and its odds are stacked against us. Being BUILT DIFFERENT, we press on.
Lately, we have both felt at the end of our rope having to navigate ridiculous situations both in this food truck life and our personal life. However, the plan is greater than we ever imagined.
I take pride in being adamant that we will continue to be BUILT DIFFERENT.
