Kohlrabi! If you haven’t tried it, you are missing out. This veggie is full of vitamins, especially potassium.
It can be eaten several ways. My favorite way is to peel and slice into sticks. It’s a great snack. It can also be cut up into your salad to add a little crunch.

It’s time to start your herb garden while the selection is good.
It’s beginning to look a little like 🌿Spring. And Cooper Farms has begun their plowing and planting! We will be back at the Jackson Farmers Market this Saturday. (8-2pm) You will find a few veggies which made it through the winter and some delicious Louisiana Strawberries! We will also have a good selection of herbs . Come see us!

Purple, white, and orange sweet potatoes!
Sautéed in butter with a sweet onion. This would make a great addition to Thanksgiving dinner.
All Good Things
They say all good things must come to an end.
The muscadine leaves are turning yellow as fall begins.
It has been a hard and crazy year of events, not knowing what to expect from one day to the next.
Plenty of fruit, but few pickers. Large orders but no drivers to deliver. When did farming become so complex??
But when all is said and done… we’ve met so many people at the farm.
Kind people, funny people, people filled with charm.
The sweet little faces of children filled with anticipation.
That first bite of sweetness tickles their tummies and causes an awesome sensation.
These are people we would not have met if not for muscadines.
This little fruit filled with sweetness and juice combined.
They say all good things must come to an end.
At least until next summer when we do it all again!
Calling all jelly makers! We have a large supply of muscadines seconds at the farm. Great for making jelly or wine.
Jackson Farmers Market is the place to be on Saturday morning!! Cooper Farms has everything you need for a delicious summer veggie dinner. Just to name a few: six different kinds of squash, eggplant, onion, potatoes, tomatoes, okra, two kinds of Snap Beans, pink eye purple hull peas, brown crowder peas, and more.
