Help us with picking a new salsa variation to add to our offerings!!! Our Chunky Salsa filled with big chunks of peppers, onions, tomatillos, celery and tomatoes along with our smoother Restaurant Style versions our classic medium heat salsas, but I'd like to add in another variation - maybe one with more heat or a fruity flavor version. Tell us a favorite of yours for us to try making!!!!

Perfect night for home grown chili!!! Two quarts of garden canned tomato sauce, a big white onion grown this year, and ground venison.

This year I successfully grew a few luffa plants, purely at first to prove I could after failing the year before. My mom always had luffa scrub sponges in the shower and when I found out they came from a plant I had to grow them.

It's a funny process to peel, clean and dry them, but its been quite the learning process. Over the next month Im excited to find multiple ways to utilize these crazy plants!

While we are getting these 80° days in October, I'm going to soak in the sun and keep picking flowers from the farm!!!

I thought chicken soup was yellow???? Ummm....nope...REAL chicken soup is not bright yellow. My mission this October is to make and can a few different soups to put in my pantry to enjoy in the upcoming cold winter. Chicken soup must be pressure canned due to the meat and low acid veggies that are in it. So its an all day process to prep, cook, build pressure, vent the pot, hold the pressure for an hour and a half then let it cool before its all ready.

It's so ironic that in the time of this harvest season when everything is supposedly coming to an end, there is so much new life starting in the garden...reblooms of flowers, new potatoe shoots, baby dill and camomile seedlings, bees still pollinatingl...is it June? Nope...just a lovely warm sunny October...
