2 (15 oz) cans cannellini or Great Northern beans, drained and rinsed
2 tsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 cup shredded mozzarella
¼ cup grated Parmesan
Fresh basil, for serving
Crusty bread, toasted sourdough, or cooked pasta for serving
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 425°F.
Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 30-60 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in the marinara, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2-3 minutes. Pour the white beans and cook until warmed, about 3–4 minutes.
Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan evenly over the top.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Broil for 1–2 minutes for a golden finish, if desired.
Top with fresh basil and serve with crusty bread or spoon over pasta.
