Tomatoes are looking great so far. Strings are up and they are clipped and growing. They are all on drip irrigation and fed organic fertilizer. From snackers to slicers to sauce, there is a little bit of everything. It’s Grow Time Yall.

Restaurant Delivery Day

Somehow I managed to load and deliver this hickory to our restaurant customer in between all the rain today. It’s not all fun and games and flowers and herbs. Sometimes it’s tractors and trucks and hickory and splinters.

We will be open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9am to 12pm. We will then close the farm down starting June 13th for a short time to catch our breath. We are reopening some time in later June or early July with fresh local produce, plants and honey products.

Farm Update: please read for details

This will be the last week of operation for a bit. We’ll be open Tuesday-Friday from 9am to 12pm. We will be closed starting June 13th for a brief moment to catch our breath. We’ll look to open back up late June/early July with local produce, blueberry blossom honey and if all goes well, limited pints of pre picked blueberries. No promises, but we’ll do our very best to pick what we can for everyone.

For now, this week we’ll run a plant sale. All plants are 15% off. Sale ends Friday at closing. We have plenty of blueberry blossom honey and blueberry creamed honey available. So stop on by this week for your jars and shop the plant sale.

We’re back at it Friday from 9am to 12pm. Grab some lemon balm while you’re here. Lemon Balm works great as a natural mosquito repellent. You can simply crush some in your hands and rub on your arms or legs. The plant contains citronellal, a citrus aroma that is a natural bug repelling compound.

Fresh batch of blueberry blossom honey is in and only available out our farm. This one is a very special batch. It’s from this seasons spring pollination and the 40th year of our blueberry farm. Unfortunately we lost our crop to poor weather choices by Mother Nature. So make sure to grab a bottle while supplies last.

Look what we got in today! Our beekeeper at Mountain House dropped off our first batch of Blueberry Blossom Honey and Blueberry Creamed Honey. You can only get these here at the farm. Stop by and grab a jar. While you’re at it, take advantage of a fill a flat. Every purchase of a jar of regular Blueberry Blossom honey will get you a flat to fill with any annuals grown in a square pot. $35 each once filled. That’s $2.33 per pot. Anything from herbs to geraniums. If it’s a square pot and fits the tray it’s good to go. This discount is only available with a honey purchase and good for that day.

Limit 2 jars of honey per person. This is a very special honey and we want to make sure as many folks as possible get some. As the season goes on, we’ll remove the limit.

New Temporary Greenhouse Hours

Tuesday-Friday 9am to 12pm
Saturday-Monday Closed

These are temporary and subject to change. We will be open for plant sales for now. We plan to transition to a summer produce stand later in June.

Please note, there are no blueberries to pick this year due to weather, so please understand that the hours listed are not for blueberry season. We’ve had several folks stopping by looking to pick based off hours listed. We hate disappointing folks. It’s not fun.

So for now, stop on by for any plant needs. Rumor has it, we’ll be getting our first batch of blueberry blossom honey and blueberry cream honey in very soon. Check back Monday for an update on that.
