September is National Honey Month, a time to celebrate the end of another busy season for honey bees and recognize everything they do beyond making honey. 🐝💛
Their work helps support many of the crops we enjoy every day, making them an important part of agriculture and our food system. While they're small, their impact reaches far beyond the hive.
As consumers, it's important to appreciate and care for the pollinators that help provide so much of the food we rely on. Here are a few simple ways to support honey bees:
🌼 Plant pollinator-friendly flowers.
🐝 Leave a few blooms for bees to forage.
🚫 Avoid spraying pesticides when bees are actively visiting flowers.
🍯 Support your local beekeepers by choosing local honey.
National Honey Month is a great reminder to celebrate one of agriculture's hardest workers—and all the pollinators that help keep our fields, orchards, and gardens growing. 💛
