It’s been a minute since we’ve checked in on here… but calving season has been keeping us BUSY (and a little sleep deprived 😅).

Mornings like this make it all worth it though 👇
• Fresh calves hitting the ground
• Strong mommas doing their job
• Sunrises over the pasture
• And a whole lot of gratitude for this life

There’s just something about watching generations build right in front of you… cows we raised now raising calves of their own. That never gets old.

We’re rolling right along into calving, and things are looking GOOD so far 🙌

Maternal Monday 🐄

There’s something special about watching a heifer with her very first calf.

She’s learning what it means to be a mama for the first time, keeping that calf close, checking on it constantly, and figuring out her new job.

First-calf heifers tell you a lot about the future of your herd. The good ones step right into motherhood like they were born for it, and this heifer is nothing shy of your Ideal heifer you want to be calving out. 👌

This is what building maternal cows is all about.

This little guy was a suprise today - color wise 🤣 but he’s a healthy, energetic bull calf out of a bred cow we purchased from Perham Stockyards, Inc this pass fall!

She is a good momma cow and we are happy with her! 👌

If I could calve about 500 of these type of heifers, I would in a heartbeat! These are the type of heifers you want in your herd and the ones that are gonna be profitable.
