Right now we’re working with Clarabel, our Guernsey, to help her get comfortable with a routine that will eventually become her milking schedule.

Twice a day we separate her from the herd, give her a little grain, and spend some time together before letting her back in the pasture. The goal isn’t just the grain—it’s building positive associations and making the process feel familiar long before she’s ever in a milking stanchion.

Farm life is often less about big milestones and more about these small, consistent moments.

One morning at a time. šŸ¤ŽšŸ„

Happy Father’s Day to the man who works hard, loves deeply, and leads our family with quiet strength.

Adam, thank you for the long days, the early mornings, the countless projects, and the way you always make time for the people who matter most. Our children are blessed to call you Dad, and I’m grateful to walk through this life beside you.

Today, we’re also thankful for our Heavenly Father—the One who provides, guides, and sustains us through every season. Every good gift comes from Him, and we’re grateful for His faithfulness to our family and farm.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, grandfathers, and father figures who lead with love and leave a lasting legacy. šŸ¤

A few T-posts. An old cattle panel. A little creativity.

Instead of buying new, we’re putting materials we already had on the farm to work again—this time as a trellis for this year’s loofah crop.

There’s something satisfying about finding a new purpose for things that have been sitting around waiting for the right project.

Now we wait for the loofahs to climb. 🌱

Today we’re taking this little guy to the stockyard.

He’s escaped more times than we can count, and while we appreciate a little independence around here, teaching the rest of the herd how to break out wasn’t exactly part of the plan. šŸ˜…

Sometimes good stewardship means making tough decisions for the health and management of the whole herd.

Off to the sale barn he goes. We hope his next home has stronger fences—or maybe just less ambition.

The farm still needs tending, the baby still wants mama, and somehow we make both work. šŸ¤

Moving chicken tractors, hauling feed, pulling weeds, cleaning up messes.

None of it is glamorous.

But somewhere along the way, the chores became part of the dream.

What part of your everyday life would younger you be excited about?

Meanwhile I’m over here taking notes from an 4-year-old entrepreneur. šŸ˜…

Watching these boys dream up designs, build every birdhouse by hand, and make their first sales has been one of the coolest parts of this adventure. Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it.

🐦 Handmade by kids. Built to last. Made with a whole lot of heart.

One of this weekend’s projects was putting up a DIY bee trap box in the pasture. Today, our little farmhand headed out to inspect it. There’s always something to build, fix, grow, or check on around here—and that’s part of the fun. šŸšŸŒ¾
