So, here’s our mini feature for The Fountain- Purified Water & Ice -
Hi, we’re the Johnsons! 👋🏻 My husband, Tyler, and I {Dakota} both grew up in rural America. Tyler is from Mound City ,and I’m a southern gal who got to Linn County as soon as God saw fit. I’m proud to now call Mound City 🥰 .
We have two boys, Monroe & McCrae, who keep us moving, laughing and very mindful that the decisions we make today are shaping our future as well as theirs. They are a big reason why we decided to start our Twice The Ice business.
Growing up, Tyler and I both had the opportunity to watch family members own and operate small businesses.
Tyler helped his parents with their cattle operation from an early age and learned the ropes for what it takes to create a successful long term business. Tyler continues to pitch in on his folks’ operation when needed and has chosen to immerse himself in the cattle industry, making it his primary career.
My mom taught horse back riding lessons, my dad had a construction company and my grandfather poured his heart and soul into a cafe in our local community for over 20 years. Getting a shotgun rider seat to all these different ways to serve others utilizing different skill sets yet still God given talents made a lasting impression on me. I’ve found my niche in a sales career by obsessing over customer service and focusing on how to become great at the art of selling.
The experiences we collected and lessons we learned by being part of our family’s small business ventures truly shaped us. We are prayerful that our business - The Fountain -serving purified water and ice - can help teach our children as well as a spark a desire in their hearts to dream big, get quiet with God, pray and follow His lead.
We want our next generation to be brave and willing to take risks. Starting a new business comes with risks. However, we want to be an example that with lots of prayer, hard work, dedication and a focus on serving others, the risk is worth it everytime.
Without God, we wouldn’t have The Fountain. His faithfulness has been and continues to be evident in every part of our journey.
Each time you make a purchase, we are the family you’re locking arms with to make a difference in our community and beyond. It’s about more than just ice and water to us {however we do 💙 great tasting 🧊ice and 💧water!}. It’s about following God’s lead and using our skills to serve others well.
