I, Steven's wife and our oldest Daughter Rhiley will continue our honey business and continue to share beekeeping and farm info in honor of my Dear Hubby. We thought we would update our farm activities from the ones below that were our original start before we relocated from south of Tulsa. Our farm plan has taking a different direct these days after our move. But I wanted to leave our original endeavors just to show how our farm has progressed. We now are the tenders of millions of honey bees. It is a fun new endeavor and our bees do great work making tasty honey and they give me lots of beeswax to make fun stuff. We have fun meeting new people at markets these days and hanging out outdoors. We still have alpacas and I always have fleece for projects and natural soil nutrients in the form of alpaca pellets and tea bags available. Activities have changed at the farm but we still enjoy all the great things you can do when you have fun being creative. (In the beginning) At Smithville Farm, we try to raise the friendliest goats, alpacas and rabbits for companion animals. We milk the goats and harvest the fleece from the alpacas. We also raise chickens, ducks, turkeys and quail, mostly from our own eggs and homemade incubators. We sell any extra birds that hatch. We custom incubate balut from duck and quail eggs when requested. We have also ventured into pigs.

Saturday starting at 9 o'clock at the Oilton flea and farmers market.

Sunday starting at 9 o'clock at the Bristow All Thing Farm Swap at Tractor Supply. This will be the last swap for the year in Bristow.

Change of scenery for me today and most of the week.

I'm at the state fair working for my wonderful Gluten Free baking friends Green Gables. I can personally attest to the deliciousness of all these goodies! So I don't have honey but I can still sell you something yummy.

We will be honored to see a memorial that is being placed by our booth in remembrance of my wonderful husband and Rhiley's amazing dad you all know as The Bumbling Beekeeper tomorrow as well. We hope he will be watching too.

We will have Steven's last new creation with us. Chocolate Lemon Drop. Everyone has loved it so much it has already graduated to bigger sizes and since we brought it out in August we have had to make several batches.
So come by for a taste.

I wanted to let everyone know that we will NOT be in Bristow tomorrow either for this weekend. Due to my daughter's wreck she isn't up to it and I want to stay around close by.

We regret the late notice but we are feeling really lucky that what could have been a very bad wreck turned out with her being ok.

We will be at the Creek County Fair this coming Thursday through Sunday in Kellyville if you get a chance to stop by we will be inside the building.

We also will have an extra table with some books, craft items, fabric, Turkey hunting vest, fire place bellows and other random things I'm sure someone needs. 🤷‍♀️

The Chandler Momthly Market has been canceled for today due to the fair grounds construction.

I wanted to let everyone know that due to that cancelation and the heat we will not be in Chandler or Drumright today.

We will be back next week in Oilton and Bristow.

We will NOT be at the Broken Arrow Swap tomorrow. 💛

But we will be taking orders for a meetup in the Broken Arrow area next week if you need something!

I apologize to those of you who were planning to come see us for honey tomorrow. We have never been ones to bail on a weekend setup. We were always somewhere every weekend, and it was easy to push through when I had the person beside me who brought so much joy to my life.

But to be honest, this month has been so hard.

Rhiley and I have tried to push through, even though we are missing Steven so much. But apparently four weeks of August being his birthday month is all we can take. I need this fifth weekend to find a little calm before we start all over again next week and move into the busy season.

Thank you for your support and understanding as we try to navigate this life—and this business—without the one who made it all worth it. ❤️

We don’t want to leave y’all longing for honey, though! So we will be taking orders for a meetup next week.

If you’re in the Broken Arrow area and would like to place an order and meet with us next week, just let me know. I’ll post our available products and prices in the comments. Send me a message through Messenger with what you’d like and a couple of days/times that would work for you, and I’ll do my best to group everyone into a time range on one or two days for the meetup.

Again, thank you for your understanding. This is a journey I never thought I’d be on, and apparently it gets harder as time goes on.

🐝❤️ Happy Birthday in Heaven, Steven ❤️🐝

Today we celebrate the birthday of the man who was such a huge part of the heart and beginning of Smithville Farm.

Long before Smithville Farm became what it is today, there was Steven—the Bumbling Beekeeper. 🐝 He is my husband, my partner, and was my biggest supporter, and the one who helped make this little dream of ours a reality.

So many of you knew him as the Bumbling Beekeeper. You saw him at markets, talked with him about bees and honey, laughed with him, and became part of the story of Smithville Farm. He had a way of making people smile, and his presence became such an important part of what made our farm feel like more than just a business.

We miss him terribly.

We won’t be at the fair today on his birthday, but we still wanted to celebrate him and give all of you who loved him a chance to be part of his birthday.

At our market setup, we have a special book where we’ve invited anyone who knew Steven to leave a memory, a story, or simply a birthday wish for him. The first page says:

“If you knew Steven, please write a memory or a birthday wish. Our family will cherish it.”

And we truly will. ❤️

These are the stories and memories we will be able to hold onto when we miss him—the little pieces of Steven that live on in the people whose lives he touched.

So today, wherever you are, please help us celebrate the Bumbling Beekeeper. 🐝 If you aren't able to make it to the fair to leave him a message please feel free to post your stories and birthday wishes here on this post. We want to hear them all.
