Anthony is back to share another honest look at our fields, this time from the Chardonnay vineyard.

Even on high-elevation ground, temperatures plummeted to 24 degrees on April 21st. Our secondary and tertiary buds are saving the plants, but they aren’t yielding much fruit. It is shaping up to be the toughest recovery year we’ve faced in 54 years of farming.

There isn’t a lot of good news in the soil right now, but the plants are alive, our team is resilient, and the tasting room is fully stocked. Come see us on the lawn this weekend and toast to Maryland wine. 🥂
