Did you know that August 31 is the anniversary of the opening of St. Michael’s Taproom at Benedictine Brewery?

In 2018, the taproom opened quietly on this day ahead of the soft opening of the brewery in September.

The dollar bill in the glass case is from the first purchase at the taproom, made by Mount Angel Seminary alumni, classes of 1971 and 1975.

We are grateful to God that St. Michael’s Taproom continues to offer Benedictine hospitality to all our guests eight years later.

The Mount Angel Oktoberfest is quickly approaching, and we are eager to welcome you to Benedictine Brewery during these festive days.

Please note our adjusted hours during Oktoberfest (September 17-20), 12 pm to 6 pm with last call at 5:30 pm.

Our Black Habit Dark Ale will be served in the Hopfengarten in Mt. Angel. Prost!

The wait is over! Our St. Michael Helles Lager is back on tap and in bottles.

Enjoy your St. Michael or Benedictine Brewery beer of your choice with our Elote Cheese Dip, only available for a limited time.

Topped with fresh cilantro, cotija and a sprinkle of chili powder and served with organic tortilla chips, this dip is packed with flavor and a mild kick.

Join us this Friday, August 7, as we kick off this year’s hop harvest with Coleman Farms and other local farmers.

• Benedictine Brewery beer, including the new 1892 Rauchbier (smoked beer)
• Meet and greet with the Coleman hops farmers
• See and smell fresh hops and learn how they are harvested
• Hopped ciders from Bauman's Cider
• Learn about other produce that is harvested around Mount Angel Abbey

We are still flying high from this past Saturday at Benedictine Brewery thanks to our friends at Perch Wildlife Education.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 1, from 1 to 4 pm, when Perch Wildlife will return to Benedictine Brewery for an afternoon adventure with live falcons, hawks and owls.

It will be a delightful afternoon with conversation and conservation, community, Benedictine Brewery beer and close encounters with remarkable birds of prey. Bring your camera, since these feathered ambassadors know how to strike a pose!

Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with us this Saturday, July 4th!

The city of Mt. Angel’s 4th of July parade will be from 11 am to noon, so join us at the brewery afterward to continue the celebration.

Join us this Friday, June 26, from 7:30 to 9 pm for Bach & Beer!

Dr. Joyce Chen will perform a harpsichord concert at Benedictine Brewery and speak about Bach, beer and baroque.

Dr. Chen is the Director of Music at St. Mary Parish in Mt. Angel and Assistant Professor of Historical Keyboards at the University of Oregon. She has performed as a solo harpsichordist in the United States, Europe and Taiwan.
