Shenview Farm is a family owned farm where we raise horses, dairy cows, llamas, rabbits, Nigerian Dwarf Goats, miniature pot-belly pigs, Call ducks, and several other critters.

Sometimes funny things happen on the farm! This week has definitely been one we will remember for quite some time. In January we bought a group of pregnant ewes bred to a registered Hampshire ram. Monday night we had to assist a ewe during lambing. Everything went smoothly except the first lamb was a hair sheep and the second was a hamp lamb!! The farm we purchased them from had both breeds, and some how a hair ram must have snuck in with the ladies for a few hours! Crazy as it was, we just let it go. Last night, same scenario, assisting a ewe, and out comes and hair lamb and a hamp lamb!!! All the other ewes from the group have had twin hamp lambs. Needless to say we are still amazed out how this happened, and hopefully it won't happen again tonight!!! They sure are cute though. Both hair lambs are ram lambs and both hamp lambs and ewes.
