Going granular!
Although a finer grind is usually for teabags, which we won’t offer for a bit, we did grind some of the chamomile, lavender and lemon balm.

Why?
To fine tune flavor versus weight.
Once the favor is fine tuned, simply weighing the ground ingredients separately will tell us the equivalent in standard loose leaf form.

We’re doing this for us but, we really look forward to sharing our labor of love with you all soon. ❤️

Still playing/tasting.
Calming blend: 1/1/1 ratio of chamomile/lavender/lemon balm.
Sleep blend: 2/1/1 ratio of chamomile/lavender/lemon balm.
This one is a 1/1/1.

Might make both available.
Thoughts?
Make both available to suit daily evening moods?

We have bulk so we can make whatever suits us from day to day for our evening tea.

This post is more about what YOU might be interested in. ❤️☕️

Coming very soon we will have our first organic tea available.

Homestead Calm
All organic, the loose leaf ingredients will be:
-Chamomile
-Lavender
-Lemon Balm
That’s it, nothing else, the way it’s supposed to be.

If you’ve ever tasted a warm cup of this combination then you already can taste and smell the flavors just reading this. There’s nothing we’ve found quite like a soothing cup this blend of nature before bed.

Yes, even men can have a cup in the evening and it’ll be OK. You won’t loose your man card. 🤣

We blend it, we package it.
From our homestead to yours with love. ❤️

Zucchini is doing well, not as much as yellow.
First flowers on loofah.
Something keeps nibbling the okra leaves but some is making it.
Tomato plants are growing well, just starting to see small tomatoes. Hope they beat the heat.

Sandy red dirt.
Just needs nutrients, drains well.
W**d, mix in some dried leaves to break down, frame up with some old bricks.
Works.

Left to right: lemon balm, sage, flat Italian parsley, dill. We’ll fill in with more when cuttings are ready to go in the ground. They look little but we did trim them a lot to let them put energy towards roots.

We’ll be moving many of the herbs we’ve been propagating into the ground this weekend (yeah!).
One more post about how to make many from one and I’ll shaddup about it.
In this case with the basil, cut right above a node.
Trim the lower leaves from the cutting, plop in water.
Oh, once the little leaves on either side of the cut on the plant start popping out, trim the single big leaf left on either side. This will let the plant send its energy to the new leaves.

While I’ve been on about this for a while, volume takes time or money and, money takes time.
It’s all good, we’re growing. ❤️
No more rooting posts (unless it’s something special 😁).
