So honored to be chosen as Marbleseed Farmers of the year for 2026. But no one farms alone... We accepted this award last weekend in solidarity with the other small organic farmers in our region and on behalf of everyone in the amazing farming and local food system that we are a small part of. We couldn't farm without you all ❤️ 🙏

Shout out to Sunn Cafe to whom we are proud to supply eggs! Supporting local food and community connections!

As we approach the 9 year(!!) anniversary of Sunn Cafe, we want to offer a heartfelt thank you to all who have supported us and our little business along the way…..
-Thank you for enjoying our space and our food!!!
-Thank you for putting smiles on our faces every day!
-Thank you for coming in weekly, or daily (or sometimes twice a day!!)
-Thank you, friends and family, for helping out when we needed you and thank you Sunn crew—past and present—for giving it your all day after day after day!! We love you!!
You have all helped us to grow as a business and as individuals and have brought us to where we are today…a little older and wiser, a little tired, and feeling a real yearning to shift.
We’re taking this moment to let you know that we are looking for a buyer for Sunn—someone who hopefully shares our passions and wants to carry on what we’ve built. If you or anyone you know might be interested in this opportunity, reach out to us! We’d love to talk!
Please know that we—of course—did not come to this decision lightly. We’ve been feeling pulls to different paths for a while. The time just feels right. Please also know that we are committed to keeping things rolling as they have been until the torch can be passed. So come see us!
Thank you again for allowing our business to grow and thrive in manners that we never dreamed possible. We will be forever grateful.
☀️❤️🌈

Happy chickens on fresh grass. Isn't this a beautiful sight? During the grazing season, our birds are 100% on grass! They especially love the abundant crickets at this time of year.🦗🤠

Our farm---- Prairie Bluff Farm is a 60 acre organic family Farm run by my husband and me (Steve and Beth Albert) We produce eggs from our 1500 laying hens. During the grazing season, our hens are ALWAYS out on the grass in mobile pasture pens. When they are moved, these pens create patterns on the pasture---- hence the name Pasture Patterns Eggs. Check us out on Google Earth.

Steve was Wisconsin Today yesterday, talking shop again 🤠. Read the article below or click on the link to learn more about our farm and hear Steve's thoughts on why organic eggs have been cheaper than conventional eggs lately.

Egg prices have been climbing as farmers deal with the impact of the spread of avian flu. But the highly pathogenic avian influenza, which has limited supply, hasn’t impacted all eggs equally. Specialty eggs, which are traditionally more expensive, look more appealing.

The USDA awarded FairShare a $500,000 grant last fall as part of its Farmers Market Promotional Program. Now it's been revoked, citing DEI cuts.
