🌿 Dark Walnut Charcuterie Board 🌿

Woodworking is a regular passion and hobby for Mike. He crafted this charcuterie board from the finest dark walnut purchased recently from Alexander Brothers in Timberville, Va.

Featuring a custom inset for a small bowl, perfect for holding our favorite grapes, olives, or other delightful round treats.

The sleek handles on each side make serving a breeze, adding a touch of sophistication when we have friends over.

Rest assured, he also added rubber feet on the bottom to protect surfaces and keep the board stable during use.

Handmade with a clear love for the trade, this charcuterie board is a unique addition to our kitchen.

Baby deer season is in full swing!

We were all pretty excited to see this whitetail doe and her baby enjoying some fallen pears from our fruit trees today at the Hideaway Homestead. The baby still has its spots, so it's probably just a few weeks old. It was fun to watch them both nibbling on the pears.

We're thrilled to announce the arrival of our newest additions to the homestead! Meet our adorable Rhode Island Reds and a surprise chick straight from . 🐣🌱

We can't wait to watch these feathered beauties grow into stunning hens, providing us with fresh, delicious eggs in the near future. 🥚🌾 But for now, it's all about giving them the love, care, and attention they deserve. 🐔💕

I (Mike) had the pleasure of meeting yesterday at a conference! He is one of my role models in the maker space, and I was honored to be able to obtain a signed copy of his recent bestseller, Every Tool's a Hammer.

Adam is an incredible inventor, educator, and storyteller. He has always inspired me to learn more about science and engineering, and he has shown me that anyone can make amazing things with a little creativity and hard work.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to meet Adam and learn from him. He is a true inspiration, and I am excited to continue following his work.

Mike (shown here) had a great time volunteering with Habitat for Humanity in Harrisonburg VA this past Thursday! He helped install electrical for a duplex. It was a lot of hard work, but it was also incredibly rewarding to know that he was helping to make a difference in someone's life.

We were so happy to join the 4H members of Conicville, VA for their community service litter pickup today! It was a great way to give back to our community and help make our county a cleaner place. We're so proud of all the hard work these young people are doing (including our own Thomas and Clara), and we're grateful to have been a part of it.
