A Little About Us:
We, Debbie and Allen Sinclair, met in Maryland, Debbie's home state. Allen grew up on a hay and cattle farm in Georgia. After successful careers in the health care industry in the Metro DC area, we couldn't wait to make a career change to be farmers. Our dream became a reality in 1993 when we purchased a 23 acre farm nestled in the beautiful and peaceful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. We moved to the farm full time in 1995 and are dedicated to the growing of healthy and flavorful foods while using earth friendly sustainable practices. Our farm consists of 25 acres with hay fields, horse and laying hen pastures, field produce, approximately 14,000 square feet of heated hydroponic greenhouses, and 2,800 square feet of a non-heated soil based greenhouse. We have only 2 full-time very dedicated staff, as needed part-time staff in addition to the two of us. Description:
Our shares are fresh, and delicious and change every week depending on the season and what is being harvested that week. Our CSA runs year long with 11 week Spring, Sumer, Fall seasons and a 10 week Winter season. We have Family, Couple/Single and Half share memberships available each season. Interested in more farm fresh foods? Join our egg, milk or meat share each season. We also have an A La Carte option that we offer on a weekly basis, along with extra items l available for purchase at pick-up. Members may change their shares and skip weeks during the CSA Season with an appropriate adjustment to the member's account. We have several pick-up locations for your convenience:
• Our Farm - Wednesday 10am - 3pm with additional hours per individual arrangement
• Laureen's Bakery - Wednesday 1 - 6, Edinburg, Virginia
• Shaffer's BBQ & Catering - Wednesday 1 - 6, Woodstock, Virginia
• Shenandoah County Public Schools - Wednesday 1:30 - 4. Please Note: The schools selected for delivery locations will be based upon participation numbers. The school delivery locations are only for SCPS employees.
• Arlington, Virginia - Thursday 3 - 6:30, St. Andrew's Episcopal Church at Lorcom Lane and Military Road.
