🌧️ Due to the rainy, chilly weather in the forecast, music on Saturday will be in our NEW EVENT SPACE. This will give everyone a larger indoor seating area to stay warm, dry, and comfortable while enjoying great live music and wine.

🎶 Sunday Music with CJ Hise will be indoors if it is still raining.

Yesterday was a hard day for many vineyards in Virginia. Temperatures dipped down into the mid to lower twenties around parts of the state in the early morning hours. Due to the higher temperatures the last couple of months, we had bud break about 2-3 weeks earlier than usual. When temperatures drop as low as they did yesterday, there is not much that can be done with 14 acres under vine. This is the first time in 25 years we have had this much damage. There will hopefully be some secondary growth which will produce some fruit, but it will be extremely limited. Our early estimate in our lower (main) vineyard (12 acres) is around 80% loss. We will know more in the coming weeks. This is absolutely devastating for our guys that spend hours a day in the vineyard working tirelessly, our Winemaker and Owner, Randy Phillips, who at 75 years old goes out into the vineyard regularly to work alongside our guys, and puts his heart into every wine he makes (yes, I’m slightly biased as his daughter).
